Cette étude examine le rôle de la céramique dans le secteur de la restauration à Gbèkèkro ou Bouaké, une ville située au centre de la Côte d’Ivoire. L’objectif de ce travail est d’analyser l’importance de la poterie dans ce secteur, dominé par les produits manufacturés. Pour ce faire, la méthodologie employée repose sur une analyse croisée de documents écrits et de témoignages oraux. Les résultats montrent que la localité présente un potentiel humain favorable à l’implantation de restaurants. De plus, la poterie locale, datant de différentes époques, est appréciée des clients lors de la dégustation de certains plats.

This study examines the role of ceramics in the catering industry in Gbèkèkro or Bouake, a town in central Côte d’Ivoire. The aim of this work is to highlight the role of pottery in the catering sector a field dominated by manufactured goods. To achieve this the methodological approach adopted involved a cross referenced analysis of written documentation and oral accounts. The findings from these sources show that the town in question possesses favourable human resources for the establishment of restaurants. Furthermore, the ceramics found in these venues, which originate from various sources, are appreciated by customers when enjoying certain dishes.
